Lecturer in Anthropology
Matthew Engelke is a lecturer in the Department of Anthropology. He has conducted research in Zimbabwe on Christianity, ritual, human rights, and nationalism. Dr Engelke is also editor of the Prickly Paradigm Press (www.prickly-paradigm.com), which publishes pamphlets on world politics, critical theory, and anthropology.
His publications on human rights and nationalism include articles in Critique of Anthropology on gay rights in Zimbabwe and Research in African Literatures on nativism in postcolonial literature.
