Alexis Rwabizambuga joined the Centre for the Study of Human Rights as a research fellow for the 2007-2008 academic year. Alexis has several years of working experience from insurance, finance and business consulting in several countries in Europe and Africa. He has also worked for UNICEF/WHO where he served in Mali as the GAVI Advisor to the Minister of Health, prior to joining the LSE in 2002 for his PhD in corporate social responsibility, governance and Africa with a particular emphasis on the extractive industries. He has previously studied political science and economics (BA) from the University of Oslo, and management (MSc) from the Norwegian School of Management. He fluently speaks and writes several languages including: English, French, Norwegian, Swahili and Kinyarwanda (native).

Alexis' research interests include: Corporate social responsibility, governance and strategy; Business, climate change and human rights; Environmental security and development.
