We are pleased to announce that the fourth LSE Workshop in Environmental Economics will take place on 21-22 June 2021. This year we have partnered with Imperial College London and the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment.

The programme will consist of full paper presentations, a session of egg-timer presentations for early career researchers (PhDs/Postdocs), and a policy session. We will also have keynotes talks by Janet Currie (Princeton) and James Stock (Harvard).

The workshop will bring together top scholars from around the world to share their latest research in applied environmental and development economics. The workshop is also a great platform to identify areas where further academic work is needed and to foster new collaborations.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty around international travel, it is impossible to determine at this stage whether the workshop will take place in person, online or in some hybrid form. We will make a final decision in due course but the option to present and participate remotely will remain available under all scenarios.

Invited speakers are expected to participate in the entire 2-day workshop and there is no fee for attending. If the workshop will take place in person, we will cover and arrange 3 nights of accommodation for invited speakers. Meals, snacks and drinks will also be provided free of charge during the workshop. Participants are responsible for paying for and arranging their travel arrangements (flights/trains).

All participants are expected to participate in the entire 2-day workshop and there is no fee for attending.

Workshop attendance is primarily open to LSE and Imperial College faculty, postdocs, and research students. However, we are also happy to extend the invitations to some external guests. To keep the workshop as informal as possible, registrations are limited to 100 people, and we will therefore unlikely be able to accept all requests from externals. Please register below if you would like to be considered. We will let you know about our decision by June 15.

To attend the workshop, please register by completing this form.

All attendants must be registered by June 13 at 5:00 PM (London time) to receive login information to connect to the online sessions.
