Biography
Nisida Gjoksi joined the Government Department in September 2016. She holds a MA degree in Economics from Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and a MRes degree from the European University Institute, where she has pursued her PhD in Political and Social Science. In 2015, Nisida was a Visiting Fulbright Schuman Fellow at Columbia University and in the past she worked as well for the European Commission Directorate General on European Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy. Her thesis analysed why politicians restrain political appointments and implement civil service reforms differently over time and across countries, by particularly focusing on South Eastern Europe.
Research Interests
State Transformation and Public Administration, Political Parties and Political Appointments, Patronage and Ethnic Politics, Politics and Society in South Eastern Europe and European Union Enlargement and Integration.
