Biography
My work is on labour politics and social policy in advanced industrial democracies. In various papers, I investigate the adoption of the minimum wage in Germany, the UK, and Sweden, the roles of technological change, offshoring, and development of the financial sector in the decline of trade unions, and how labour market regulation affects labour market outsiders’ political attitudes. My work is mixed methods, combining analysis of individual and firm-level survey data with country-level data, elite interviews, and archival work.
