Biography


 

Alexandra Cirone is a postdoctoral Fellow in Political Economy at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She defended her PhD in political science in June 2017 at Columbia University, where she previously obtained an MA (2010) and MPhil (2012) in Political Science. She has held fellowships at the Council for European Studies, Reid Hall in Paris, and the Global Public Policy Network.

Research Interests


Alexandra specializes in political economy, comparative politics, and quantitative methods with a regional interest in Western Europe. Her research interests center on comparative institutions and multi-level governance, evidence based public policy, historical political economy, and European politics. Her work combines quantitative methods, micro-level time series data, and natural and/or quasi-experimental research designs with extensive archival research.
