A major focus of the LSE Global Governance's work is the way in which globalisation affects regional dynamics. At present, our work mainly concentrates on the Middle East and South East Europe.
The Kuwait Research Programme on Development, Governance and Globalisation in the Gulf States is a ten year multidisciplinary global programme. It focuses on topics such as globalisation, economic development, diversification of and challenges facing resource rich economies, trade relations between the Gulf States and major trading partners, energy trading, security and migration.
South East Europe - Balkans
The research programme on the Balkans aims to develop a new approach to studying post-conflict and post-war transition in the region. The research is conducted under the umbrella of the Faculty Development in South East Europe Programme.
