Eduardo is from Mexico City. In 2011, he graduated from CIDE (Centre for Research and Teaching in Economics) where he completed his bachelor's degree in Economics with emphasis on applied industrial organisation and econometrics. Thereafter, he worked for two years as an RA for the Regional Studies Programme in the same institution. His worked there focused on regional integration and competitiveness of Mexican sub-regions. He holds an MSc in Local Economic Development from the LSE and his dissertation paper is on the interaction of specialisation in high-tech industries and the underlying socio-institutional conditions and its effect on growth across municipalities in Mexico. After completing his masters in 2014, he was a Guest Lecturer in Economic Development at CIDE back in Aguascalientes, Mexico, and also collaborated in several research projects within Regional and Urban Economics.
