The big (suburban) society- community, identity and amenity in outer London

30 June 2011

This HEIF4 seminar, co-hosted with the new Demos independent think-tank 'Centre for London' , focused on outer London as one of the key policy issues facing the capital today.

The primary purpose of the morning, chaired by Centre for London Director Ben Rogers  was to achieve an exchange of ideas about community, identity and amenity. There were two sets of short presentations followed by participant discussion. These were then followed by workshops where there was an opportunity to discuss priorities for the programme. The event was an  important opportunity to influence priorities for the Centre for London at Demos and LSE's future work on outer London.
