Nadia Casabella 2004-05

Having worked for a couple of years in the Netherlands will be finishing her PhD at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

Murat Cemal Yalçıntan 1997-05

Has been awarded an associate professorship at Mimar Sinan Gusel Sanatlar University in Istanbul

Laurence Crot 1997-07

Has been awarded a post doctoral research fellowship at the University of Neuchatel in Switzerland to work on research into 'eco-cities' in Abu Dhabi.

Ioannis Daskalakis 2006-07

Is living and working in Athens for ETVA VIPE SA the main Greek company that is in charge of designing, building and running the organized Industrial Estates in the country.  He is also hoping to begin his PhD in the Geography Department of Harokopio University.  His subject is Local Development and Management of Environmental Resources focusing on the power of local governance and/or government to plan its own environmental agenda, through claiming its rights on the use of water resources that are found within its geographical territory.

Yonn Dierwechter 1997-00

Is an Associate Professor of Urban Studies at the University of Washington and has written a brilliant short article on President elect Obama's urban policy - please check it out in the PhD news section!

Lewis Dijkstra 1996-97

Works as a policy analyst for the European Commission in the DG for Regional policy.

Jennefer Holmes 1994-95

Has completed four years with the London Development Agency working with the RDAs and London's relationship with Chinese cities.  She is now starting a new job with the Greater London Authority working on Mayoral business and skills policy.

Yo Ito 2007-08

is doing another master's programme, MSc Public Management and Governance, at LSE for 2008/9 academic year and planning to return to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Government of Japan, after finishing the programme.

Anastasios Kitsos 2006-07

Is working for the Highland's Council in Inverness.

is working as an analyst at Fengate Capital, a real estate and infrastructure asset management firm, in Toronto, Canada.

Elisa Penn 2006-07

Is working in Halifax, Canada for the cities and environment unit helping First Nation's Communities develop comprehensive plans.  Their website is http://ceu.architectureandplanning.dal.ca/.

Anna Pratt 1996-97

Has worked for Arup, then Ecosfera in Rome and is not back to her hometown of Torino where she lives with her partner and two young children.  She is doing UK consultancy work for Locum Consulting, which is part of Colliers CRE.

Elizabeth Rapoport 2002-03

Is working as a Senior Consultant in Strategic Regional Planning for Happold Consulting in London.

Hélène Rodriguez 2006-07

Has finished her work in Niger where she worked on a Niger-French decentralisation project.  She is now engaged and is moving to Washington DC.

Laila Said 2005-06

Was working for the Office of the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Planning in Cairo as a researcher.  She has now taken a new job as a project analyst for the International Finance Corporation, which is part of the World Bank.  In this job she is working on a project that provides technical advice to government agencies in order to simplify the regulations and procedures related to business start-ups, including company registration, land allocation, licensing and building permits.

Scott Sams 2006-07

Has been accepted to read for his PhD at the University of Toronto.

Charles Savary 2004-05

Is working at Archon Group as a portfolio manager in Paris.  He also runs the French branch of the LSE Global Real Estate Group and is involved in the alumni association.

João Seixas 1996-97

Is working for the Instituto de Ciências Sociais of the Universidade de Lisboa.

Yuki Tanaka (nee Yamaguchi) 1996-97

Is working for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism in Japan and doing research for the Japan International Transport Institute.

Nicholas Westlake 2006-07

Is working in Vancouver as a Senior Research Analyst for Cb Richard Ellis Limited.  He collaborates extensively with real estate owners, property managers, municipalities, and sales and leasing professionals to create the most comprehensive picture of local commercial real estate conditions and trends.

Meredith Whitten 2006-07

Has joined TIP Strategies, Inc in Austin, Texas.  TIP is an economic development consulting firm specialising in strategic economic development planning. 

Kamill Wipyewski 2006-07

Is currently working for the International Investment Team for DTZ International Property Advisers.  He has been involved in a variety of projects across Europe, ranging from office portfolio transactions to development appraisals, primarily working with large institutional clients.

Ertan Zibel 1996-07

Has been accepted as a planning expert serving on the regional development agency for the Cukurova Region in Turkey.
