About me

Tom joined the Department in 2017 as an LSE Fellow in Human Geography. He completed a PhD from King’s College London, an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA (hons) at the University of Manchester.

Tom’s research explores dynamics of peri-urban land and labour transformation within contemporary mega-urbanisation projects in North India. His research focuses on how gender and community shape relationships between the state, real estate capital and citizens in peri-urban areas of the Delhi NCR.

Tom’s research has been published in Economic and Political Weekly, City, and openDemocracy. He previously worked as Associate Editor at openDemocracy.
