Marian Jacobs is a PhD student at the Department of Geography, King's College London. He holds a BA in Political Sciences and Law (University of Erfurt), a MA of International Relations (University of Warwick) and a MSc in Environment, Politics and Globalisation (King's College London). Before joining King's College London, Marian worked for the European Parliament in Brussels, the GIZ and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. His PhD research focuses on environmental and energy geographies and urban political ecology of energy transitions in West and Eastern Europe. He is particularly interested in applying critical theory to analyse the relationship between structures of energy governance and environmental dynamics.
