
Susan Himmelweit is Emeritus Professor of Economics at the Open University. She is a feminist economist whose research is on the economics of gender, within which her current research is on gender budgeting, theoretical and policy aspects of the economics of care and intra-household inequalities, and on the gender implications of austerity. She was the founding chair of the UK Women’s Budget Group, whose policy advisory group she now coordinates. In 2009, she was President of the International Association for Feminist Economics.
