Saphieh is also a trustee and Chair of the Equal Rights Trust, a non-executive Director and Vice Chair of the Charities Aid Foundation, an Honorary Fellow of Harris Manchester College and a trustee and director of various arts charities including the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra and Oxford Playhouse and on the Advisory Board of the Welsh National Opera. She was formerly a non-Executive Director of Channel 4 (and Member of the Audit Committee), a member of the Advisory Board of the Centre for Diversity Studies Oxford Brookes University, and a Commissioner with the EOC until it was wound up in 2008.
