Anita Biressi is Reader in Media Cultures in the Department of Media, Culture and Language at the University of Roehampton, London. Her research interests include social class and inequalities, political voice and gender and popular factual television and tabloid culture. She has served on the steering group of the Media, Communication and Cultural Studies Association’s Women’s Media Studies Network since 2001. Anita is the co-author of Class and Contemporary British Culture (2013 Palgrave Macmillan). She is currently writing a book called Politics Interrupted: Gender, Citizenship and Disruptive Voices with Heather Nunn for Rowman and Littlefield International.
