Professor Clare Hemmings - is the new head of department.

Welcome back to Dr Sumi Madhok, returning from Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowship 'Vernacular Rights Cultures in Southern Asia', who will be teaching a new course on gender and human rights (GI426).

Welcome to Dr Anouk Patel-Campillo, Assistant Professor in Gender, Development & Globalisation.  Anouk will be working with the GDG students and teaching on the core courses.

Congratulations to Jacob Breslow who has begun a new post as LSE Fellow in Transnational Sexuality and Gender Studies.  Jacob will be a seminar leader on gender theories course (GI424) and the sexuality half units GI421 and GI423.

Moving:  Professor Naila Kabeer, will now be based in both the GI and department of International Development, housed in the latter on the 7th floor of Connaught House.

New GTAs: Emma Spruce, Aura Lehtonen, Ilana Eloit, and Jacqui Gibbs will be seminar leaders on GI424, gender theories.  Julia Harviksen will be teaching assistant on GI402, gender knowledge & research practice.

Last but not least, welcome back to Nadia Erlam, graduate intern for the 2016/7 academic year, supporting the GI administration and developing Student-led Resources.
