Kavita Krishnan is a feminist and left activist and writer based in Delhi. She is the Secretary of the All-India Progressive Women’s Association (AIPWA) and editor of Liberation, a monthly magazine of the revolutionary left. She has been centrally involved in the anti-rape movement in India which began in December 2012.
In this talk, she will reflect on the experiences and ways forward for the anti-rape movement in India, the wider questions of women’s freedom which it has raised, and the possibilities and contradictions of transnational feminist solidarity. Her talk will be followed by a discussion with the audience.
