LSE Careers

Once you join LSE as a student, you are entitled to use the LSE Careers service. With this service there are opportunities to:

• attend career events
• meet alumni
• have one-to-one meetings with experienced career advisors
• gain interview practice
• attend workshops to improve your CV and write strong cover letters or applications

LSE CareerHub

The LSE CareerHub is an online system that lists hundreds of events, jobs, internships and volunteering opportunities. It is updated regularly and so it is worth browsing often for the most recent opportunities. On this system you can also register to attend events and workshops organised by LSE Careers and external organisations. 

Student Support and Services 

LSE provides a range of support services to students to make the most out of their time at the university. There is support for those with disabilities and services include: 

• a medical centre and a dentist
• childcare close to the campus
• a faith centre
• advice and conselling

Student Wellbeing Centre

For a more extensive directory to all the support and services provided by LSE regarding student wellbeing, please visit the Student Wellbeing Centre's website. Throughout the year there are events organised to help students manage their responsibilities and workload. There are also contact details of people you may wish to get in contact with to discuss issues related to your studies. 

LSE Financial Support

Please visit the website for LSE's Financial Support Office to find out about all the funding opportunities the university has to offer. Financial support schemes include: scholarships, studentships, prizes and awards. The Financial Support Office is located in the Student Services Centre on the Ground floor of the Old Building. If you wish to speak to a member of staff from the Financial Support Office, there are details of the days and times of the drop-in sessions on the website. 

LSE Student Accommodation

LSE Residential Services takes care of all matters regarding student accommodation. On the student accommodation website you can view all the available student halls and find any current vacancies in halls. There is also information about the options of living in intercollegiate residences and private housing.

Saw Swee Hock Student Centre

The Saw Swee Hock Student Centre is award-winning building that houses the Students' Union and it is a student hub for facilties at the university. This building is located at the heart of the campus and inside you can find:

• learning spaces
• The Weston Cafe
• The Three Tuns pub
• venue spaces
• a media centre
• a fitness centre
• a faith centre

LSE Students' Union

The LSE Students' Union is a representative body that supports and advises students during their time at LSE. It is a social platform at the university, supporting over 150 societies and running many events for students throughout the year. The LSE Students' Union also represents students to both the university and external bodies on student-related and wider issues.

LSE Teaching and Learning Centre

The LSE Teaching and Learning Centre supports teaching and learning at LSE for both students and staff. The centre offers a range of training and development opportunities. For MSc students, there are sessions on study advice and academic writing, as well as workshops on time and stress management.

LSE Language Centre

Being at LSE could be a fanatastic opportunity to test your language skills or learn a new language. The centre offers a variety of modern foreign language certificate courses for different levels. There are also opportunities for online and tandem learning. For non-native English speakers the centre offers learning support workshops.

LSE Volunteer Centre

The LSE Volunteer Centre helps students find a volunteering placement at a charity or not-for-profit organisation during their time studying at LSE. The centre organises Volunteer Fairs and the latest volunteering opportunities are posted on the centre's website. LSE Peer Support

The LSE Peer Support scheme allows students to speak to other students about any issues worrying them. The Peer Supporters receive training and they are there to offer confidential support. They are usually found in LSE halls of residence and on the LSE campus.
