Announcement of 2014-15 Scholars

The Paul Woolley Centre is pleased to announce that Sergei Glebkin has been awarded a Paul Woolley Centre Scholarship for 2014-15.

Sergei-Glebkin

Sergei Glebkin is a 3rd year PhD student in the Department of Finance. He received a BSc and MSc in Physics from Moscow State University and a MA in Economics from New Economic School. His research interests include asset pricing, liquidity and auctions.

 

The selection committee have also decided to renew the scholarships of Alex Clymo and Isabelle Roland for a further year. Shiyang Huang's scholarship is also being renewed but only until the end of Michaelmas Term 2014.

Alex-Clymo

Alex Clymo is a fourth year PhD student in the Department of Economics. He received a BA in Economics from Cambridge University (St John's College) and a Masters in Economics from LSE. His research interests include macroeconomic and financial modelling with sunspots, business cycles, and monetary economics.

 
IsabelleRoland

Isabelle Roland is a third year PhD student in the Department of Economics. Her research focuses on current developments and vulnerabilities in the banking sector and their impact on the real economy. In particular, she is currently working on the topics of asset encumbrance and zombie lending in the UK. Her broader research interests are in finance, especially banking and corporate finance and macroeconomics. She received a BSc in Economics from the University of Leuven in Belgium, an MSc in Economics and an MRes in Economics from LSE.

 

Shiyang_Huang 

Shiyang Huang is a 5th-year PhD student in the Department of Finance. His research interests lie in both theory and empirical study in Asset Pricing and Institutional Finance. He received a BSc and a master's in Economics from Tsinghua University in China before coming to LSE in 2009.
