Previous Degree
BSc in Economics, University of Copenhagen
Why did you choose the Programme?
What appealed to me was the possibility of being taught finance at a high theoretical level without abandoning my background in Economics. Combining Econometrics, Microeconomics and rigorous mathematical finance I believe the programme has a lot to offer.
What aspect did you gain from / enjoy most?
The people - both socially and academically. It is my impression that one of LSE's strongest sides is its ability to attract gifted students and faculty which creates a very fruitful studying environment. On top of that comes the social aspect and I think it suffices to say that I had a lot of fun this year with the people I met at LSE.
Last but not least comes the excellent display of people that make their way to LSE as public speakers. Over the course of the year, I have seen a wide variety of speakers ranging from the two Nobel Prize Laureates in Economics Joseph Stiglitz and Robert Lucas to financial heavyweights such as George Soros to the German national team goalkeeper Jens Lehmann.
After completing his studies, Frederik joined the Finance and Securities team at NERA Econmic Consulting on an Internship before going back to Copenhagen for further studies.
