BA (Hons) Economics
Why did you choose the Programme?
First of all, LSE's worldwide prestige and strong reputation, especially in the fields of Finance and Economics, made this my first choice of graduate programmes. Also, having studied Economics and some Finance in my undergraduate university, and being very interested by both fields, I was not very sure which specific one I wanted to pursue a career in. So, choosing this programme seemed like the best thing to do. Lastly, LSE's international environment and location also made it even more attractive to me.
What aspect did you gain from / enjoy most?
To begin with, I really enjoyed moving to London, which is definitely a great city. It has also been a great experience moving abroad to study in such a prestigious university, with great teachers and a motivating academic environment. In addition, the MSc in Finance and Economics is certainly one of the greatest challenges I have faced so far. However, I have definitely learned a lot, and I am sure that some years from now I will look back on this experience with great satisfaction, knowing it will have contributed significantly to my development. Lastly, one of the best things about being at the LSE is the chance to meet very interesting people from different parts of the world and with distinguished backgrounds.
What are you doing next?
I will join The Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS), where I will work with Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) as a member of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG).
