Prof. David Webb becomes new Head of Department

On the 1st January 2009 Professor David Webb| became the new the Head of Department of the Department of Finance. Prof. Webb takes over from Professor Ron Anderson|, who has lead both the current Department and the former Department of Accounting and Finance over the past four years.

During his time as Head of Department, Ron Anderson has overseen the continuous growth of the Finance group at LSE, most notably including the establishment of LSE's first independent Department of Finance. Over the past four years the Department has successfully launched two new MSc programmes, the MSc Finance (Full-time)| and MSc Finance (Part-time)|, and welcomed a number of world class researchers to its growing faculty|. David Webb takes over in an exciting time for research and teaching in finance at LSE, where the Department hopes to continue its growth and output of world class research and teaching.
