Professor Mikhail Chernov wins NASDAQ OMX Award for Best Paper on Asset Pricing 2012

The Department of Finance is pleased to announce that Professor Mikhail Chernov| has won the prestigious NASDAQ OMX Award for Best Paper on Asset Pricing 2012.

He was recognised for his CDS Auctions| paper at the Western Finance Association Meeting, which took place in Las Vegas in June. He shares the honour with co-authors Igor Makarov and Alexander Gorbenko of the London Business School. The prize was one of only five awards announced during the four-day annual conference, and was accompanied by a cheque for $5,000.

Professor Chernov’s success reinforces LSE’s reputation for excellence in finance research, following Dr. Dong Lou|’s prize-winning paper in the same category last year.
