On Friday 8 and Saturday 9 May 2015, the Department of Finance hosted its second successful Alumni Conference and Reunion, and welcomed back to LSE 150 alums from previous cohorts of the Department’s five programmes.
There was a great programme of events across the weekend, providing alums with the opportunity to network with former classmates, other Departmental alumni and the professors and programme teams. The weekend began with networking drinks with faculty and a welcome dinner on the Friday night.
On Saturday, alums heard from some of the Department’s leading faculty; Professor Ulf Axelson and Dr Vicente Cunat, about their very latest research and activities. Alums then participated in an interactive careers session, before hearing from the Director of LSE Advancement about the LSE’s alumni community. The event concluded with a drinks reception at a local cocktail bar.
It is hoped that the Department will hold a reunion for its alumni every two years, as part of its ongoing efforts to build a strong and engaged network of current students and alumni.
