Financing your studies

The European Institute students have several options when it comes to securing funding. The Financial Support Office website provides an up-to-date list of research funding opportunities. The European Institute will nominate offer holders for the above studentships and awards on the basis of academic merit and research potential. In order to be considered you will need to have completed an application to the School's Graduate Admissions Office|.

LSE PhD Studentships

There is intense competition for admission, therefore early applications have a greater chance of being successful and of meeting financial support/scholarship and, where applicable, visa deadlines. Please check the availability of programmes before you apply.

Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Funding

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) isthe UK's largest funder of research on economic and social issues. The ESRC funds 1+3, 2+2 and +3 studentships. LSE will nominate offer holders for studentships on the basis of academic merit and research potential. In order to be considered you will need to have completed an application to the School.
