A key part of the mission of the Hellenic Observatory is to support and encourage research in the social sciences on contemporary Greece and Southeast Europe, including Cyprus. As part of this mission, we work actively to support and encourage the development of new generations of scholars and researchers working these issues.
The Hellenic Observatory does not offer a degree and does not accept applications for study. However, it's members of staff are involved in teaching and supervision on a number of courses and topics involving Greece and Southeast Europe, within the degree programmes offered by the European Institute.
Through these courses and its other activities (Policy Seminars, Public Lectures, etc), the Hellenic Observatory maintains a strong link with LSE and other University of London students with an interest in contemporary Greek studies.
For information about how to apply for study at LSE, the courses offered by HO members of staff and other research and funding opportunities related to the study of Greece, please visit the links at the left.
