Within LSE's lively Public Lectures programme, the Hellenic Observatory contributes to the presence of Greece in Britain through a number of public lectures.
Past keynote speakers in our various public lectures series include, H.E. Nicos Anastasiades, President of Cyprus, His All Holiness, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew(LHS Lecture); the Prime Minister of Greece, Dr Costas Karamanlis (HO 2006 Lecture); and the former Ambassador H.E. Byron Theodoropoulos (BTH Lecture).
Occasionally we are able to organise some public lectures outside our established series, always hosting senior keynote speakers who add specific value to the academic experience of Greek students in LSE.
These events are irregular, but have nevertheless, over the years, hosted important personalities of the political and business communities and have been attended by hundreds of students from LSE and other University of London colleges.
Please visit our links on the left hand-side of this page to see further information on past lectures.
