The new director of the Foundation Mies van der Rohe - Barcelona, Dr Giovanna Carnevali, delivered a presentation on the projects of the Foundation to a group of academic and professional experts from the university. Dr Carnevali talked about the initiatives of the institution, especially its European Union annual prize for the best buildings in Europe, its awards to outstanding young architects, and its research on the present and future of European architecture within new models of urbanism. She also announced the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Foundation, which will take place in June 2013. After the presentation, there was a lively question and answer session, and a drinks reception.

There were experts from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and LSE Cities, among others.
