On Tuesday the 12th of February, Dr Gemma Collantes Celador, Lecturer in International Security at the City University of London, and Mr Tobias Flessenkemper, Fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs gave a talk entitled Police Reform in Bosnia & Herzegovina-What went Wrong? The talk included an overview of police reforms implemented by both the UN and the EU in Bosnia & Herzegovina throughout the past ten years.
Dr Collantes-Celador (MA Edinburgh, MSc LSE, PhD Aberystwyth) joined the Department of International Politics at City University London in September 2008. She was previously a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI), Spain, where she also lectured on conflict and peace studies.
Mr Flessenkemper
was Senior Policy Advisor, European Union Police Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo from 2005-2012. Prior to that he was programme coordinator for the European Union Police Mission EUPOL in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Skopje (2003-2004), and from 2001-2002 he was Political Development Coordinator for the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo. He is currently board member of the South Eastern Europe Association (SOG) in Munich.
