On May 23rd 2013, LSEE hosted the President of Croatia Ivo Josipović, and his wife First Lady Tatjana Josipović. The two guests were greeted by Professor Kevin Featherstone and other members of LSEE staff.
Three members of staff from the LSE's European Institute then gave presentations to the President and First Lady regarding different aspects of EU membership. The speakers were Professor Dame Helen Wallace, who spoke on institutional developments in the EU; Dr Simon Glendinning, Reader in European Philosophy, who spoke about European identity; and Dr Waltraud Schelkle, Senior Lecturer in European Political Economy, who discussed the eurozone crisis.
