Ambassador Pejović is the State Secretary for European Integration, Chief Negotiator for Negotiations on Accession of Montenegro to the European Union (since December 2011), National Coordinator for Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance as well as the Ambassador in the Mission of Montenegro to the EU.
He was the Head of the Mission of Montenegro to the EU (March 2010 - June 2012) and the Permanent Representative - Ambassador of Montenegro to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in the Hague from 2010 to 2014. During his mandate in Brussels, he participated in the most important events related to the European integration of Montenegro, including delivery of answers to the EC Questionnaire, award of the candidate status and the latest decision on initiation of negotiations. Prior to his appointment as the Ambassador to the EU, he was Director of the Directorate for European Union in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro for three years.
