Dr Mihail Arandarenko is Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics, Belgrade University and Chairman of the Board of the Belgrade based Foundation for the Advancement of Economics (FREN). He obtained a PhD in Economics from Belgrade University in 1998 and spent academic 1999/2000 as a post-doctoral fellow at the Collegium Budapest – Institute for Advanced Study. Professor Arandarenko is a labour economist and labour market policy specialist with significant research, teaching, policy and consultancy expertise in the fields of labour economics, employment programmes, collective bargaining and trade unions, social policy and related issues. He has published extensively on labour market and social policy issues, and has consulted for major international organizations throughout the region of South East Europe.
