CALL FOR PAPERS
The Third Doctoral Dissertation Conference of LSE Contemporary Turkish Studies will take place on Friday, 6th of May 2011, at London School of Economics and Political Science. The purpose of this Conference is to discuss and contribute to the development of dissertations on Turkey. It is intended to help doctoral students present their ideas and findings to wider audiences. The Conference invites applications from students from a wide range of disciplines including politics, economics, international relations, cultural studies, sociology, history, literature, to present their doctoral dissertation research.
Please send your application to the following e-mail address no later than Friday,18 February 2011: euroinst.turkish.studies@lse.ac.uk
Presentations in the Conference will be selected on the basis of the following information:
- Abstract of the research to be presented (between 400 and 500 words)
- Title of the PhD thesis and research institution
- A brief CV including the programme of study, year of study, supervisor of research
Successful applicants will be notified by Monday, 7 March 2011 and will be asked to submit their full paper by Friday, 15 April 2011.
