Biography
Julian Hoerner is LSE Fellow in EU Politics at the European Institute. He is teaching courses on History and Theory of European Integration and Policy-Making in the European Union. Julian finished his PhD Thesis on ‘National Parliamentary Scrutiny of European Union Affairs: Explaining Divergence of Formal Arrangements and Actual Activity’ in the European Institute in 2015. He also holds a BA in European Studies from Maastricht University and an MSc in European Studies (Research) from the LSE. His research interests include the role of national parliaments in the European Union, Eurosceptic parties and the internal coordination of EU policies in the member states.
