MSc Econometrics and Mathematical Economics (EME)
After graduating with a First in Electrical Engineering from UCL, I decided to study economics as a master student. What attracted me was the problems addressed by economists and the corresponding problem solving skills and mindset. Fortunately, I was admitted to LSE which was my first choice due to its high reputation around the world.
During my time at LSE so far, I am continually inspired by the excellent academic performance of my classmates and their passion in economics research. I am very proud to be in such an outstanding peer group. Learning from them is the most rewarding experience during my education and helped me improve my understanding about how economic theories can be applied in real practices.
In addition, I am also impressed by the teaching approach implemented by LSE Department of Economics. The department not only teaches the best practice, but also focuses on improving students’ research skills by holding tutorials, conferences and debates.
Besides studying economics, I am interested in data analysis. LSE also provides great help in this area. I am allowed to audit lectures which are not part of my degree.
In summary, LSE is a world leading social science institute. Joining this institution to pursue this degree has turned out to be a wise and rewarding decision.
