Courses and Seminars

The MRes/PhD in Economics offers structured research training and supervision by faculty prominent in their fields.  Specifically, it is grounded in a rigorous 2-year coursework component and strong research element.  The coursework requirement involves three PhD-level core courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics, three field courses and a supervised research paper.

The coursework and seminar requirements of the programme for students registered in or after the 2015/16 academic session.

The coursework and seminar requirements of the programme for students registered in the academic sessions 2010/11 to 2014/15 inclusive.

Please read the EC599 research paper guidance notes for important information and instructions. The deadline for submitting the paper is Friday 5 May 2017 by 4pm.
