THE Awards 2008 - project 'Highly Commended'
At the ceremony in the ballroom of the Grosvenor House Hotel on 23 October, the 'Facts' project was Highly Commended by the judges. Project members Dr Simona Valeriani and Dr Jon Adams joined Professor Mary Morgan to attend the evening, where they were joined by Chris Connelley and his team from the School's Staff Development Unit, who were nominated for Outstanding Contribution to Leadership Development.
THE Awards 2008 - "facts" project shortlisted
The "How Well Do 'Facts' Travel?" project was shortlisted for "Research Project of the Year|" in the 2008 Times Higher Education (THE)Awards. The shortlist was announced on Friday 25 September 2008.
That year, THE Awards|, which recognise excellence and innovation in higher education and research, attracted over 500 entries from more than 130 institutions. The winners were announced at a black-tie ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on 23 October 2008.
LSE magazine - Summer 2008
In 2008, LSE Magazine|, which is published twice a year and distributed to over 80,000 readers, featured a double-page spread about the "facts" project, written by Jon Adams and Mary Morgan. The article can be found here|.
Project profiled in the national press
On 15 April, 2008, the "facts" project was profiled in the Guardian's Education supplement by journalist John Crace. The piece, called Lost in Transmission, can be found here|.
