The London Taiwan Annual Conference

The Taiwan Research Programme (formerly the Taiwan Culture Research Programme) at the London School of Economics and Political Science has held its conference every year since 2002. During the last four years, the London Taiwan Annual Conference brought together a range of speakers from across the UK and from Europe to deliver papers on a wealth of subject areas and has gradually formed into an academic community. It has become an arena where views are exchanged in a remarkably vibrant and stimulating environment amongst an audience itself of varied national background. We are particularly interested in papers that adopt cross-disciplinary approach to the study of Taiwan or employ a comparative approach to the study of Taiwan in its Asian and global contexts.
