psychoanalysis@lse
Psychoanalysis@lse is a multidisciplinary research group that aims to further
the use of psychoanalysis as a distinctive means of sociological and political
analysis. Established in 2005, the group includes a series of prominent
psychoanalytic theorists: Darian Leader (analyst and author), Henrietta L. Moore
(social anthropologist), Susie Orbach (analyst and sociologist) and Renata
Salecl (scholar of law and criminology). Psychoanalysis@lse builds on the
School's expertise in social psychology, and the expertise of key visiting and
Centennial professors. Its over-riding research focus concerns the potential of
psychoanalysis to assist understanding of issues of social justice and social
conflicts in the context of wider contemporary social and economic
transformations.
