The Department is vibrant in producing leading scholarship in Family Law. Current members of staff including Julie McCandless and Helen Reece provide academic leadership within many aspects of feminist, interdisciplinary and socio-legal family law scholarship. They have particular interests in the legal regulation of: human reproduction; parenthood and parenting; birth registration; gender, sexuality and family life; family structures; risk; sexual offences; and violence against women.
