Liberty Bridge Charities Director and Pro Bono
Officer 2011-2012
My name is Liberty Bridge and I’m the Charities Director of the LSE Law Society. During my year out between school and University I travelled to Uganda for sixth months and ended up helping to set up and becoming an overseas trustee of a
Streetkid rehabiltation charity in Uganda. I realised that my passion is trying to help people on the fringes of society and that background or wealth should never be a barrier to success or justice. I have become quite heavily involved with pro bono work since I came to the LSE. Last year
I participated in Streetlaw, Pro Bono work with Addleshaw Goddard and being a mentor on the Pathways to Law scheme. This year, as well as my continuing commitment to being a Pathways
to Law mentor, I am now also a DebateMate mentor as well as participating in and being the student co-ordinator for the
Pro Bono work LSE students do with Clifford Chance (I like to keep busy!). This year LawSoc are planning lots of worthwhile one-day volunteering events as well as launching a new scheme: OPENLAW.
If you have any queries about how to get involved in Pro-Bono work at the
LSE please do not hesitate to contact me at
