The Society of Legal Scholars Annual Conference 2008

Monday 15 September to Thursday 18 September 2008

Accommodation

All the accommodation included in the residential packages and or bookable via the conference website is in LSE halls of residence. The accommodation is provided on an ensuite basis (rooms with shared facilities will be allocated to students) for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Once your booking is confirmed you will be asked to confirm your choice of LSE hall. More choice will be available to those who book early.  If you wish to stay in a twin/double room with another named conference delegate, then please book your required conference packages separately and then email law.slsconference@lse.ac.uk with details of both delegates and confirmation of your requirements.

Halls of residence at which we hold bookings are as follows:

1) Bankside House

Close to Shakespeare's Globe, Vinopolis, The Tate Modern Art Gallery, iconic St Paul's Cathedral, the Millennium Bridge, near Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast, The Clink Museum, Southwark Cathedral and surrounded by hundreds of quality restaurants and dozens of friendly pubs. Bankside is a moments stroll from the stimulating and enjoyable Thames-side South Bank walk - an enchanting location with vivid, vibrant views of sunset over the River.

2) Grosvenor House Studios

Located on the eastern side of Drury Lane, Grosvenor House Studios is one of the latest additions to the LSE residences. Two minutes from Covent Garden, Grosvenor House Studios is central to London's Theatreland. Oxford Street, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square are only a short walk away.

3) Northumberland House

Located in the heart of London just off the south Side of Trafalgar Square, Northumberland House is a magnificent Grade II listed building, and is a short step away from the main strip of the West End theatres and five minutes from Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Covent Garden and Oxford Circus. Northumberland House provides the ideal base from which to explore the capital's many sights and attractions.

Hotels

All accommodation provided as part of the residential rates, or via the conference booking website, is in LSE halls of residence. Delegates requiring hotel accommodation will need to book independently and all communication with and payment to the hotel will be the responsibility of the delegate.
