Congratulations on being accepted to LSE Law!
You will be studying at one of the world’s top law schools, under the direction of top academics and alongside students from over 100 different countries.
The LLB can be a demanding programme but these will also be three of the most stimulating and engaging years of your life. You will be inspired and challenged on a daily basis, and will learn that the more effort that you put into your studies, the more rewarding the experience will be.
We are sure that you have a multitude of questions about the programme, the LSE environment and living in London. We will attempt to answer some of these but if the answer isn’t on this page then you are welcome to email us at law.llb@lse.ac.uk
Two weeks prior to the start of the academic year you will receive the Welcome Week programme by email. This is a busy, but fun filled, week of lectures, seminars and social events. You will have the opportunity to get to know your fellow students and will also be able to chat to academic staff at the Welcome Week drinks reception. It is important that you attend all Welcome Week sessions so that you are prepared for the busy year which lies ahead of you.
As part of Welcome Week we offer free walking tours of the London legal district, in which LSE is located. These are particularly helpful for students who are new to London. You will also learn about the UK legal system and history. If you would like to do one of these tours make sure that you sign up early on as places are limited.
