The Directorate  

The Directorate of the Executive LLM programme consists of a Director and an Assistant Director. The Directorate is supported by a Programme Manager. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact either member of the Directorate or the Programme Manager.

Director: Professor David Kershaw

Professor Kershaw joined LSE in 2006. He is admitted to the New York Bar and is a qualified UK solicitor. Prior to his academic career, he qualified as a Solicitor at Herbert Smith, London and practised corporate law in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Shearman & Sterling in New York and London. He holds a LLM and a doctorate from the Harvard Law School and a LLB from the University of Warwick. He has published widely in the areas of corporate law, takeover regulation and accounting regulation. His most recent book, Company Law in Context (Oxford University Press, 2009). On the Executive LLM he will teach Takeover Regulation in the UK and the US.

Assistant Director: Dr Andrew Scott

Dr Scott joined LSE in 2006. He holds degrees from Queen’s University, Belfast (LLB, MPhil), and the University of Wales, Cardiff (PhD). He has published widely on both competition law and media law, co-authoring Merger Control in the United Kingdom (Oxford University Press, 2006) and Carter-Ruck on Libel and Privacy (LexisNexis, 2010), and editing Broadcasting (Halsbury’s Laws, LexisNexis, 2011). Dr Scott is an Academic Fellow of the Inner Temple. On the Executive LLM, he will teach courses on media law and regulation.

Programme Manager: Lucy Wright

Lucy Wright joined the Law Department as a senior administrator in 2003. She took up the job as Programme Manager of the Executive LLM in 2011.
