Digital business ecosystem

Edgar Whitley, PhD has gained a European Commission's Digital Business Ecosystem project. This is an EU integrated project under the first call of the EU Framework VI Programme. The project's aim is to achieve greater information and technology adoption on the part of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe to foster local economic development through the innovative use of information and communication technologies (ICTs). Edgar will be studying the organisational issues faced by SMEs in adopting this new technological platform.

Mary Darking PhD has been appointed as the research officer for this project, which runs for one year from November 2004.
