MSc ADMIS

During the degree, ADMIS students receive a privileged access to the Careers Service. Tuesday mornings are reserved purely for ADMIS students. You can book a twenty minute session with a careers advisor to explore the following issues:-

  • CV and covering letter preparation
  • Interview technique
  • Coaching
  • Details of recruitment processes
  • Guidance on career choice and decision making
  • Changing career option

There is also an extensive careers library. The resources range from Consultancy and Banking Directories to information regarding careers in the Media, IT, public sector and NGO’s.

The Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme (SEGS) run by the Home Office allows graduates of subjects such as ADMIS to stay and work in the UK for up to a year after they graduate. The SEGS scheme has been replaced by the International Graduates Scheme, which applies to students graduating after May 2007, and allows ADMIS graduates to stay and work in the UK for up to two years after they graduate.

The LSE Careers Service have a Graduate Destinations site which  includes destinations of MSc ADMIS graduates, information specific to IS students and profile case studies. We find that most students find permanent work or further study opportunities during or shortly after completing their studies. Most ADMIS graduates work in information systems, in jobs ranging from business analysis and management consulting to systems development.
