Cotton Research Project:
The GEHN Cotton Research Project aims to reconfigure a considerable volume of national sources (European and Asian) in order to construct a long-run economic history of a significant 'global industry' such as cotton textile manufacturing. The research project is complimented by a series of activities, among which is a conference to held at the University of Padua in November 2005 and Session 59 of the XIV International Economic History Congress to be held in Helsinki in August 2006.
