Instructions for contributors

Development and Transition welcomes suggestions for contributions to the forthcoming issue:

Issue 6 will look at conflict and post-conflict societies in the post-communist world. Abstract submission deadline: January 1 2006.

 

1. The editors welcome articles that address the themes of Development and Transition. Articles may be case studies or comparative in nature,  but their geographic focus must be on the countries that fall within the Central and Eastern Europe (including Turkey) and the CIS regions.  

2. Normally, articles should not be longer than 800 words. If you wish to submit a longer article you should contact us in advance. 

3. Articles should be minimal in the use of references, tables and graphs. 

4. Articles should be submitted for consideration for publication before the above deadlines. Articles submitted after the deadline will not be considered. 

5. The suitability of articles for publication will be determined by at least two referees drawn from the editorial board. 

6. Suggestions should be sent to developmentandtransition@lse.ac.uk.  Articles can be submitted in either English or Russian.

7.  In the first instance authors should submit by email an abstract of 150 words, and insert the word ABSTRACT in the subject heading of the messageThe editors will then contact those authors selected for the submission of full articles within one week of the submission of an abstract.  The suitability of articles for publication will be determined by at least two referees drawn from the editorial board.
