Workshops

The Leverhulme Trust generously sponsored the first three VPP workshops enabling the Programme to survey the developments in voting power and procedures and to create a network of the major researchers in the fields.

The fourth VPP workshop took place at the University of Warwick in 2005 and was
sponsored by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Centre for the Study of Globalisation and Regionalisation (CSGR). In July 2006 a workshop on voting power and procedures was held in Moscow, organised by the State University Higher School of Economics.

In 2007 a second Leverhulme Trust award, Voting Power in Practice, funded a new series of interactive workshops designed to bring together theoreticians and practitioners. The first workshop in the new series took place at the University of Warwick.

Workshop participants are selected for invitation on the basis of their published research and current work-in-progress as a contribution to the development of the field of voting power theory, procedures and applications.
