The aim of the project is to disseminate important information on HIV/ AIDS to researchers, the health profession, the public, infected individuals, educators and policy-makers.

The goal of AIDSnet is to strengthen the capacity of NGOs to address HIV/ AIDS prevention, care, support and treatment in developing countries.

HEARD HEARD conducts research on the socio-economic aspects of public health, especially the HIV/ AIDS pandemic. UNAIDS - The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/ AIDS The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/ AIDS, UNAIDS, is the main advocate for global action on the epidemic. It leads, strengthens and supports an expanded response aimed at preventing transmission of HIV, providing care and support, reducing the vulnerability of individuals and communities to HIV/ AIDS, and alleviating the impact of the epidemic.
United Nations Development Programme, HIV/ AIDS (UNDP) To prevent the spread of HIV/ AIDS and reduce its impact, developing countries need to mobilise all levels of government and civil society. As a trusted development partner, UNDP advocates placing HIV/ AIDS at the centre of national planning and budgets; helps build national capacity to manage initiatives that include people and institutions not usually involved with public health; and promotes decentralised responses that support community-level action.
World Health Organization (WHO) HIV/ AIDS Programme WHO works within the family of UNAIDS cosponsors to facilitate multisectoral efforts within the United Nations system. As part of its broad health-sector mandate in HIV/ AIDS, it specifically serves as the convening agency within the United Nations system for HIV/ AIDS treatment, care and support as well as for preventing the mother-to-child transmission of HIV. ^
